fundraising

a few guidelines

You can make a difference to the lives of thousands of people by raising funds for Safe Anaesthesia Worldwide. We need funds now more than ever before and every penny raised will help those in need.

Create your own fundraising page at GiveasyouLive.com

https://donate.giveasyoulive.com/charity/safe4all

In these challenging times, please be sure to follow our simple guidelines for fundraising.

  • If you are considering taking on a fundraising challenge or activity please take all relevant safety precautions and we strongly advise you carry out only low risk events and activities. High risk activities, for example an open water swim, may require emergency services support should you get into any difficulties. For more information on health and safety guidelines please visit hse.gov.uk
  • If you’re holding a raffle, remember to charge a standard price for the ticket and draw the winner on the same day. For anything more complicated or if you are holding a raffle over a longer period of time, you’ll need to get more information from your local council’s licensing department.
  • Please display Safe Anaesthesia Worldwide’s registered charity number 1148254 where appropriate and we can provide you with an authorisation letter to prove that you are fundraising for us.
  • We encourage you to donate your fundraising money directly with online banking (please contact us for details) or through our website.
  • If you are encouraging people to sponsor you, we recommend you set up an online fundraising page to collect your donations. When you set up your page please select ‘Safe Ananesthesia Worldwide’ as your chosen charity. If you would like to make your donation by bank transfer or by cheque please contact us for instructions.
  • Please protect yourself from fraud and carry out necessary checks before making any donations or payments online or over the phone.

how much will you raise?

£200 will provide a pulse oximeter to monitor patients and improve safety.

£300 will support a nurse anaesthetist to attend a refresher course to update skills.

£870 will supply a patient monitor to improve patient care.

£1200 provides a concentrator to generate oxygen inexpensively from the air to treat patients.

£3400 will provide a portable anaesthetic machine that does not require electricity and will work even in basic locations.

Raise £16,000 and you could supply a hospital with a complete anaesthesia system for use in operating theatre and intensive care settings - transforming the lives of many people.
